About Summers McKay & Caution Curves Ahead
Summers wrote her first story about a cat that she would someday have named Princess at the age of five and she's rarely stopped writing since.
An avid adventurer in life and lover of love, she has explored the world with all it's passionate, painful, exciting, and gnarly curves. Caution Curves Ahead began as a blog project for Summers to let off steam while getting her MBA at UCLA Anderson and followed her experience as a woman in business school, a newly divorced dater confounded by online dating and through her climb on Kilimanjaro in 2013.
In 2014 she embarked on a new adventure, falling in love, getting married, gaining two already growing children with that husband, and she launched a company focused on sexual health and education. It was simply going to be perfect! Needless to say, things did not go as planned.
Missing the liberty of writing and the stress relief of humor in blog, Summers decided to relaunch Caution Curves Ahead in 2017, in tandem with her business at Summers Love Company and her consulting business at SummersMcKay.com.
This next chapter of Caution Curves Ahead will take us through Summers journey to and through her 40s, parenting the kiddos she has, and the process of trying to make one from scratch, marriage in all its complicated and happpy glory, career changes, entrepreneur adventures, and of course - the ever exciting experience of life's brilliant curves.
PS - Summers has not yet had a cat named Princess, but Chianti, Caper, and Clover have been perfectly fuzzy friends.
I believe you must bring your whole self to the table if you want to thrive in today’s crazy world; your personality, your sense of humor, and most importantly, your heart.
All of these elements brought me to create Caution Curves Ahead back in 2000. We took a hiatus for a few years while I did a few other things, but I am back and thriving.
