This time of year, when mail is full of Christmas cards and unfortunately bills, I check the box and quickly divide the two. One pile to smile at and cherish now and another to look at later. (Scarlett O'Hara, "after all tomorrow is another day" sort of later).
There was an unexpected package in my mail, a little padded envelop from a like minded woman I met nearly twelve years ago. A cherished mentor and friend who moved away and now I miss terribly suddenly made my heart leap.
|An adorable inspiring door hanging kinda piece.|
Something to see each day as I head out into the world.
Now to be reminded that I'm a woman with a cute pair of shoes, a bag full of pluck and determined to change a few things made me cry... tears of gratitude.
It's been a rough curvy road these last few months. Like the rest of us, I've figured out how and what it takes to survive all these unexpected curves. I have literally taken on measuring lengths of road to get to where I want to go. Never before has Caution Curves Ahead's mantra, "The road of life has unexpected curves and so do I." been more true.
Hopefully I have helped you through your own winding and occasionally challenging stretches of not so perfectly paved asphalt.
Thank you for reaching out across this world and caring for me and for one another. Thank you for your generosity of spirit, ideas for opportunities, and support. Thank you for keeping me inspired, and thank you for reminding one another that we've all got unending potential to be positive. With the right amount of pluck we can achieve great things.
I'm going to pluck out the very best and most inspiring stories to share with you.
And I'm going to keep reminding myself as this new challenging and exciting road unfurls, that Pluck is one thing I've got by the purse-full.
